Cleanouts Services in Star

Star is growing faster than almost anywhere else in Idaho, and that shows up in what a cleanout here actually looks like. Newer subdivisions like Heron River, Movado Estates, Skybreak and Star River Ranch are mostly homes built in the last decade or so, so they don't tend to carry the decades of accumulated stuff you'd find in an older neighborhood. Along the Boise River corridor it's a different story — larger rural-residential lots, some set up for horses or small hobby farms, often come with a shed, barn or outbuilding that's been filling up for years on top of the house itself.

With so many families moving in and out of Star, rental turnovers and move-in/move-out cleanouts are a steady part of what a cleanout crew deals with here. Republic Services, the area's curbside provider, runs two unlimited clean-up weeks a year — one in spring and one right after Christmas — where bulky items and most non-Freon appliances can go out free. Outside those windows, bulky pickup still exists but has to be scheduled and set out on a trash day, and it's limited to what fits the program. A full property between tenants, or a house that needs to be ready for market, usually needs more than curbside can handle in one pass.

Estate and full-house cleanouts come with their own pace. Clearing a home after a loss means sorting what the family wants to keep from what's donated, recycled or hauled, and there's no rushing that kind of decision. Garage, attic and basement cleanouts are more straightforward — it's mostly a question of volume and how much is stacked up — and the same goes for storage units and hoarding situations, which just take more care and time to work through respectfully.

What a cleanout actually costs comes down to how much has to leave the property and where it goes. Most general junk and furniture is straightforward, but things like tires and Freon-containing appliances carry their own disposal fees at the Ada County Landfill (Hidden Hollow) or the Meridian Transfer Station, and that gets factored into the job rather than tacked on as a surprise.

Top Shelf prices cleanouts by how much truck space your stuff takes up, with a free on-site estimate and a firm price before anything gets touched — no flat per-room guess, no hidden add-ons.
